Article at a Glance

Witherbloom Witchcraft is a green and black deck from Commander 2021 that revolves around gaining life. The deck contains many new-to-Commander exclusive cards, plus several much-needed reprints.

Many cards in Witherbloom Witchcraft are desired by other Commander decks. But you don’t have to buy the entire Witherbloom Witchcraft deck to get them. You can just get single cards instead, and I’ve rounded up the best of them for you in this article.

Best New Cards to Buy From Witherbloom Witchcraft

Many of the new cards in Witherbloom Witchcraft‘s cards are related to gaining life and they work well in a variety of decks.

Pest Infestation

You can dump as much mana as you want into Pest Infestation to wipe out your opponents’ artifacts and enchantments. This effect is similar to Heliod’s Intervention and is playable in any deck. But as an added benefit, Pest Infestation makes a ton of Pest creature tokens which you can use to beat down your opponents or synergize with other life gain cards.

Witch’s Clinic

Utility lands are awesome in Commander. Witch’s Clinic is most comparable to Vault of the Archangel, another fantastic Commander card. But unlike Vault, Witch’s Clinic can be played in any deck!

Giving your Commander lifeline is valuable in a variety of decks, but especially in dedicated life gain decks like Heliod, Sun-Crowned and Lathiel, the Bounteous Dawn.

Veinwitch Coven

Imagine playing Veinwitch Coven in an Oloro, Ageless Ascetic, Commander deck. Every turn, Oloro will give you life and Veinwitch Coven will return a creature from your graveyard to your hand.

While Veinwitch Coven reaches its maximum potential inside the 99 of Oloro, it will be a value engine in any deck that contains incidental amounts of life gain.

Best Reprints to Buy From Witherbloom Witchcraft

Witherbloom Witchcraft made several older, more expensive Magic cards more accessible. These are popular Commander cards that are now more affordable for players.

Alhammaret’s Archive

Alhammarret’s Archive | Wizards of the Coast

Who doesn’t love drawing Magic cards? Well, with Alhammarret’s Archive you can draw twice as many. Throw this card in Niv-Mizzet, Parun, or Chulane, Teller of Tales, and you’re off to the races!

Alhammarret’s Archive once reached prices as high as $15.00. But thanks to Witherbloom Witchcraft, it is now available for about $6.00 at the time of writing.

Well of Lost Dreams

Well of Lost Dreams | Wizards of the Coast

Before its reprint in Witherbloom Witchcraft, Well of Lost Dreams was about $4.00-$6.00. That’s because it is a staple of many Commander decks focused on gaining life such as Oloro, Ageless Ascetic and Karlov of the Ghost Council.

Well of Lost Dreams gives you the option of converting life you would gain to drawing cards instead. At the time of writing, Well of Lost Dreams is less than $2.00.
