Prerelease for Innistrad: Crimson vow will take place on Friday, 12 November. The set release will be live on both Magic: The Gathering Online and Arena the day before. Full release of the paper set is one week later on Friday, 19 November.

It appears that many local game stores are sticking to an at-home option for prerelease should you not be comfortable attending the store. This means you can either contact your store to arrange a pick-up or order one online if they have the option.

What is in a Prerelease Pack?

Everything We Know About MTG’s Innistrad: Crimson Vow – Release Date, Previews & More

Inside each Innistrad: Crimson Vow prerelease pack will be six draft booster packs, one special themed D20, a special foil stamped promo card and a code for MTG Arena. Each MTG Arena account can only redeem one code so feel free to offer any spares you have to friends!

The purpose of the prerelease pack is that it offers enough cards for you to draft with (just add lands). This gives players the chance to get an idea of how the set will play before they can get their hands on the larger sealed products. Be sure to take some spare lands with you to any in-store events just in case the store cannot provide these for you.
