This past weekend at New York Comic Con, we got bombarded with a boatload of new Marvel-themed information. Spoilers from the 2026 Secret Lair Countdown Kit as well as the 2027 Darkhold Destiny set came pouring out. On top of that, we even got a small glimpse at some art from the new Marvel: Doomsdrop Secret Lair Superdrop.
Interestingly, it now seems a player may have accidentally received a card from this Superdrop as a bonus in a previous product, which has happened infrequently in the past. While this card appears real and likely from this future product, it’s not guaranteed. If you want to wait for an official reveal, consider this your spoiler warning.

as their True Believers in Love bonus card. This is quite unusual, as the bonus cards for the Perfectly Normal Superdrop started to appear over a month ago, and this seems to be a new reveal.
While this could theoretically mean that Decree of Pain is a rare chase bonus card from this product, its collector number of 2603 suggests otherwise. After all, the cards from the Secret Lair x Marvel: Zombies product, part of the Corn Maze Superdrop, all fall between 2589 and 2594. This likely means that Decree of Pain, which even features Doctor Doom artwork, is an inclusion in one of the future Secret Lairs.
Unfortunately, from a reprint value perspective, Decree of Pain isn’t anything special. Despite seeing a good chunk of Commander play, its numerous precon reprints have tanked its price down to $0.31. Nonetheless, a board wipe that invokes pain is certainly a flavorful addition to a villainous Secret Lair.
Obviously, nothing has been confirmed yet about where this card comes from, but chances are its inclusion in a previous product was a mistake. Keep your eyes peeled for any new information about the Doomsdrop Secret Lairs as it unfolds.
