While last week’s The Zeta Set Secret Lair sale was an all-round disaster, the Perfectly Normal Superdrop went off without a hitch. Players were generally able to get the drops they wanted, and a few of the drops are even still in stock for latecomers. Now that a week has passed, players are starting to receive their drops from the Perfectly Normal Superdrop, which means a new round of bonus cards for us to check out.
The New Perfectly Normal Superdrop Bonus Cards
In terms of newcomers, there are two never-before-seen bonus cards in this new Superdrop. The first of these is a snazzy new

that some players were hoping for, it’s still a solid bonus card in itself.
Command Tower is an inexpensive card at a base level, with several printings available for as little as $0.30. Notably, however, the card does have a number of pricey variants as well, some of which are Secret Lair bonus cards. The textless Hatsune Miku Command Tower is around $66, for example, while the pixel art version is around $40. With this precedent, the new Lofi Girl version could easily command a respectable price tag.

, from the Artist Series: Ian Miller drop. As per Artist Series tradition, this is a black and white version of a card from the base drop, showing off Miller’s process. Unfortunately, this is the lowest-value card Wizards could’ve picked as a bonus here, with copies going for around $0.14 on the low end. That said, the base Ian Miller Shivan Dragon is currently selling for around $10, so there is hope.
A Marvelous Return
In addition to the newcomers, the Perfectly Normal Superdrop also packs a bunch of returning bonus cards as well. If you grab either Cosmic Chill by Robin Eisenberg or Featuring: Gene Luen Yang, you’ll receive a retro frame Human as your bonus card. We’ve seen these a few times already, and the pool isn’t amazing, but there are some hits in there like Serra Ascendant.
In a much more exciting development, all four of the Marvel-themed Lairs in this Superdrop use the same bonus card pool as Secret Lair x Marvel: Spinner Rack Specials. This means they’ll come with either a Ponder, Counterspell, or Fabricate, in either a regular, black and white, or sketch treatment.
Currently, these cards pack a ton of value, with the sketch Counterspell in particular going for around $361. Otherwise, everything here is worth $43 or more, outside of the regular Ponder at $10, which is huge.
It’s worth bearing in mind, however, that supply on these bonus cards is currently massively constrained. As Spinner Rack Specials was a Chaos Vault drop, it was released in a much lower quantity than the new Marvel drops have been. As these new, more available drops hit the market, prices on these bonus cards could well come crashing down.
For now, however, this is all speculation, and this bonus trio could well hold its value going forward. With three of the Marvel drops still in stock on the Secret Lair website, you still have a chance to secure some for yourself, too.
