New Promo Poster for Innistrad: Midnight Hunt Confirms the Obvious

Article at a Glance

A new promotional poster for Innistrad: Midnight Hunt was released today. It’s unlike any promo poster that we’ve seen before and it confirms some obvious things and hints at some others.

Innistrad: Midnight Hunt Promotional Poster
Wizards of the Coast

The poster depicts the phase of the moon of Innistrad, with Werewolves howling at the full moon towards the bottom. This furthers the confirmation that Werewolves are going to be playing a major role in the set. This also hints at the return of the “transform” mechanic in the set as well.

Wizards did mention that the werewolves would function a little bit differently in this set, but that could be in the condition in which they transform.

Sigarda’s Prayer

Sigarda Heron's Grace Art

The other thing that is on the poster is the “Traveler’s Prayer to Sigarda”, which is written around the border of the picture. That reads:

Sigarda the true, the shadow slayer, the hope of the lost, protect us through this long night, may the dangers in the darkness bring harm to no one, and may our fears be met with heron’s grace. Acavyn is gone, yet you remain. To you, Sigarda, we offer this prayer.

Back in Shadows Over Innistrad block, Avacyn, Gisela and Bruna had become corrupted and were set to erradicate the human population of Innistrad. Sigarda was the only one who stood to fight against the 3 angels, and now some humans have turned to worship Sigarda because of this. It’s definitely possible that we will see a return of Sigarda, as she also has a history of helping humans fight against werewolves.
