Magic: the Gathering Store Championships were held in local game stores everywhere on December 4-5. This year, these tournaments came with some special incentives provided by Wizards of the Coast. PROMOS! And this week, people have begun listing their promos for sale on TCG Player. Some of them are seriously pricey!
Everyone Gets an Arbor Elf!
All participants received a copy of Arbor Elf just for showing up which is currently listed for about $2.00-$3.00 on TCGPlayer.
This is a great pick up for big-mana decks with land enchantments like Utopia Sprawl and Wild Growth. This ramp package is both efficient and powerful, allowing you to ramp to four mana on Turn 2.

Top 8 Collected Company
The loathed and loved CoCo is awarded to the Top 8 competitors at each championship. This time it’s back with beautiful Amonkhet-themed artwork by Lake Hurwitz.
Collected Company is a well-used card in formats like Pioneer and Modern. In Pioneer, it shows up in decks like Selesnya Humans and Bant Blink. And in Modern, CoCo is included in Bant Spirits and Jund Sacrifice decks.
Because of the new art and overall useability of this card, it is currently selling for about $25.00 at the time of this article.

Wurmcoil Engine for the Winner
This is the crowned jewel. Only the Store Champion gets a copy of this promo Wurmcoil Engine and it’s worth about $85.00 at the time of this article. There will be little supply of this Wurmcoil since only 1st place got a single copy.
Wurmcoil is a classic MTG creature and has been a staple of Modern Tron decks for a long time.
