The MTG X Marvel panel at the New York ComiCon is underway, and there are some huge reveals available for MTG players. Available for sale on November 4th, five new MTG Superhero Secret Lairs will be available for purchase. Each contains a mechanically unique MTG X Marvel Superhero and a series of themed reprints around that character.
Featured Superheroes
This new wave of Secret Lairs features five different superheroes: Storm, Wolverine, Iron Man, Captain America, and the Black Panther. Unfortunately, many of these cards were unofficially spoiled in a leak, which confirms that the leak appeared to be legitimate.
There’s a ton of information to unpack here, and we plan on diving deeper into each spoiled Secret Lair separately. Here is a list of the contents of each MTG X Marvel Secret Lair, and what cards are contained within:

At first glance, all of these MTG X Marvel Secret Lairs have some sweet secondary market value reprints. The Ozolith is an incredible reprint to see here, as well as Jeska’s Will. The Ozolith, in particular, goes for well over $30, while Jeska’s Will is easily worth $18 on the secondary market. Throw in the Marvel themeing on these cards, and a market premium is sure to make each of these Secret Lairs a sweet deal.

In case it wasn’t clear, each of the cards based on the Marvel characters that the Secret Lairs are themed around are mechanically unique. It is unknown if these cards will also see releases in upcoming MTG X Marvel products or not.
Unfortunately, the MTG X Marvel Secret Lair Superdrop follows the current norm for Secret Lair products, which is a limited print run. Once the printed amount is gone, the Secret Lair is sold out for good.
This means that popular Secret Lairs have the potential to sell out quickly. The Monty Python Secret Lairs, for example, sold out in about an hour. If you ask us, these Secret Lairs will be insanely popular. Not only is MTG X Marvel one of the most potentially popular crossovers in the Magic’s history, but there is also a mechanically unique card in each Secret Lair drop, which may never see print outside of it. The demand for these lairs may be insane between players and scalpers. We would not be surprised if these sold out in record time.
