MTG Arena Patch Notes – January 27th 2022
Today we’re saying goodbye to one incredibly irritating card not only on MTG Arena but across all of Standard Magic: The Gathering in general.
Alrund’s Epiphany will be exiting the format but remains legal in all other eligible formats including Alchemy. Alongside the blue extra turn menace, Faceless Haven and Divide by Zero are also leaving Standard play.
In Historic, Memory Lapse finally receives its official ban following a suspension but Teferi, Time Raveler is being allowed back into the format following a rebalancing.
If you own any copies of the cards being banned, you will receive a Wildcard refund. This means if you own four copies of the cards being banned, you’re set to receive 12 rare Wildcards and 4 uncommon Wildcards.

Double Feature Draft
The Innistrad: Double Feature Draft will also likely be added in this update as it is live in MTG Arena from Friday, 28th January through until Thursday, 10th February.
Entering gives you the chance to earn a different Dracula card style that you don’t already own! (17 are available) Entry will cost 10,000 gold or 1,500 gems. Alternatively, you can use a Player Draft Token. It will use the standard structure of either reaching 7 wins to claim maximum rewards or are out when you reach 3 losses.
