Magic: the Gathering has had some crazy awesome collabs in the past couple of years. The crossover with Godzilla for Ikoria: Lair of Behemoths felt like it was the pinnacle of Pop Culture collaborations possible. But then Wizards upped the ante with more incredible crossovers, like Stranger Things, Arcane, and Fortnite. Well today, Wizards announced a HUGE collab to celebrate the release of Kamigawa: Neon Dynasty!

Wizards of the Coast

That’s right, Wizards partnered up with MWK and Hatsune Miku on a song called Connected as a way to kick off Kamigawa: Neon Dynasty‘s release! Hatsune Miku is a Vocaloid. This means that essentially she’s a bank of sung vocal lines. She was given a persona and is known the world around. She apparently has over 100,000 unique songs to her name, and is widely referenced in Anime and Games. MWK is a Dance / Electronic artist with multiple albums out as well.

Connected

The song, Connected, is by all accounts a banger. It has this really HEAVY, but almost synthwave vibe. The song is almost something that you’d expect to hear in Blade Runner or the Matrix. It features some softer sections of singing, but then ramps up quickly into some heavy, distorted bass lines, incredible Synth work, and a Groove with a pocket so deep, you cant help but bob your head to it.

This is a super cool move from Wizards and if you haven’t checked out the song, definitely give it a listen!
