On Thursday, Wizards of the Coast and various online outlets have revealed new Magic: The Gathering cards and reprints from the upcoming straight-to-Modern set, Modern Horizons 2, including four new Dragon cards, and a rare legendary land called Yavimaya, Cradle of Growth. The card makes each land a forest in addition to its other types, which makes it like a green version of Urborg, Tomb of Yawgmoth.
Yavimaya, Cradle of Growth
English translation:
Yavimaya, Cradle of Growth
Legendary Land
Each land is a forest in addition to its other types
“Multani’s heart is a seed and all of Yavimaya is its flower. There’s as much life here as in the rest of Dominaria” – Karn
This looks like a new staple for green decks in Modern, Commander, and other Constructed formats. If they continue making a cycle of these types of legendary lands that make each other land a basic land type, Carpet of Flowers would definitely rise up in price.
In addition to Yavimaya, Cradle of Growth, Modern Horizons 2 will introduce a new cycle of artifact dual lands.
If you’re excited for Modern Horizons 2, you can now preorder Draft Boosters, Collector Boosters, Set Boosters, and Bundles online .
