Magic: The Gathering Arena is giving away a new code to unlock 2,000 XP in the game’s Mastery Pass as an apology for the server issues some players experienced on Saturday, May 8, 2021. As part of today’s MTG Arena update, Wizards of the Coast announced the new code “ExperimentalOverload”, which is valid through July 6, 2021. You can enter the code at myaccounts.wizards.com or in MTG Arena’s Store tab, and you can only redeem the code once per account.

Wizards also said that all players who were competing in Day 1 of last weekend’s Arean Open and could not complete their course have had their entry cost returned to their account (either 22,500 gold or 4,500 gems). You can contact the game’s customer service if you believe you need reimbursement.

If you’re entering the code in the game’s Store tab, note that it doesn’t work in the mobile version yet so you will need to log in the PC version to enter it.

This is not the first time in recent months that Wizards announced an MTG Arena apology code due to technical issues. Last month, Wizards offered another code to unlock two levels in the game’s Mastery Pass following technical issues.
