There’s a bunch of awesome Commander focused YouTube content out there in the internet. One of the newer channels to bring this kind of content to the masses is “I Hate Your Deck“. In their newest episode, Joe Johnson and Michael Lynch do battle against the Professor of Tolarian Community College, and Cassius Marsh.
The game is definitely a bit of a higher powered brawl, with the Professor playing Sliver Overlord, Cassius playing Lathril, Blade of the Elves, Joe is playing Chandra, Fire of Kaladesh, and Lynch is playing Marchesa, the Black Rose.
I won’t spoil the whole thing, but let’s just say that Joe’s Mana Flare does a LOT of work in this game. Things do heat up pretty quickly, and the game ends up in what feels like an almost unlosable game state for one player, and then it wasn’t.

The game today was played at Cassius’s card show, Cash Cards Unlimited, which opened up earlier this year in February. The video does showcase the store a bit and seems like a great atmosphere. The content that ‘I Hate Your Deck’ is putting out is great! It’s unfiltered, comedic, and really fun to watch. Definitely go check out their YouTube Channel for more games like this one!
