On April 23, Wizards of the Coast released Strixhaven: School of Mages, the latest Magic: The Gathering expansion set in the magical school Strixhaven, which is located in the plane of Arcavios. In addition to the 275 brand new cards in the main set, there are 63 Mystical Archive cards (reprints of iconic sorceries and instants with special frame and alternate-art) that players can get from Strixhaven Draft, Set, and Collector booster boxes. However, if you’re interested in buying or selling individual cards, you may want to know which cards are worth money.
At the time of this article’s publication, only 8 cards from Strixhaven: School of Mages are worth $10 or more. Five of these cards are Mystical Archives, and three are regular non-foils. All of them are mythic rares and two of them are Elder Dragons, Beledros Witherbloom and Galazeth Prismari. These prices are most-likely driven by demand of Commander and other eternal formats. Note that the list doesn’t include regular foil cards, etched foils, extended-art, or Japanese Mystical Archives.

Demonic Tutor (Mystical Archive)
Teferi’s Protection (Mystical Archive)
Tainted Pact (Mystical Archive)

Just like previous Standard-legal sets, most of the cards from Strixhaven will likely continue to decline a few weeks after its release, but it’s possible that certain cards could go up in value.
Each Strixhaven Draft or Set booster pack includes one Mystical Archive card, and each Collector booster contains three. All 3 types of Strixhaven booster boxes are now available in your local game store and Amazon.com.
