Wizards of the Coast is prepping Wizards Play Network Stores (WPN) ahead of the pre-release and release events for the next two Magic: The Gathering Standard-legal sets, Innistrad: Midnight Hunt and Innistrad: Crimson Vow, so expect stores to offer new products, Promo Packs, and promo cards.
Mind Stone Bring-a-Friend Promo revealed
Today, WotC has revealed the new Bring-a-Friend promo that WPN stores will be giving out to participants during the Innistrad: Midnight Hunt and Innistrad: Crimson Vow seasons, and it’s a reprint of Mind Stone featuring new artwork by Jason Felix.
First printed in the 1997 set Weatherlight, Mind Stone is one of the most used “mana rocks” that enable players to ramp up one colorless mana as early as turn-two while giving the player the option to sacrifice it to draw a card. Although Mind Stone has been printed multiple times over the decades, this only the third original art illustrated for the card.
This new version of Mind Stone also features new flavour text: “The stones, like their holders, were drawn to each other. United, their true power awoke.”

Players who bring a friend to the stores’ events will be able to receive copies of this new promo card but note that each store will only receive limited copies of new promos.
In addition to the new promo card, participants will also be able to win Set Boosters starting with the prerelease of Innistrad: Midnight Hunt, which takes place Sept. 17 to 23.
Innistrad: Midnight Hunt is scheduled to release for tabletop on September 24, and Innistrad: Crimson Vow will be released on November 1.
