Today’s the big day. After weeks of build-up and hype, Mystery Booster 2 is finally going on sale to the public. Not ‘on sale’ in the traditional sense, mind you. You won’t be able to order this one in boxes from your LGS or Amazon. Instead, this excellent new product is only available through Magic’s Secret Lair website.
Mystery Booster 2 Sale Time And Place

Mystery Booster 2 is available to the public exclusively via the Festival in a Box 2024 Secret Lair drop. You can also draft Mystery Booster 2 at MagicCon conventions starting this year, but for most people that’s not possible or practical.
If you want to grab some Mystery Booster 2 for yourself, then, you’ll need to get a Festival in a Box. This product goes on sale today, August 19th, at 9 AM PT on the Secret Lair website. For reference, 9 AM PT (Pacific Time) is also 12 PM ET (Eastern Time) or 5 PM BST (British Summer Time).
As with all recent Secret Lairs, there will be a very limited number of these available. The price on this bundle is $249.99, excluding shipping, which will naturally vary based on your location.
For that price, you get a full 24-pack box of Mystery Booster 2. You’ll also get the exclusive Li’l Legends Secret Lair drop, four exclusive promos, and three Collector Boosters.
Despite the high price, it’s very likely that this product will sell out almost immediately upon going on sale. We’ve seen this happen with both the Hatsune Miku and Monty Python Secret Lair drops, and this one arguably has far wider appeal. At least early on after release, the financial value of the cards in Mystery Booster 2 will likely far exceed the money spent as well, to say nothing of the extras included.
This makes the drop an easy purchase for those looking to make a quick buck. It’s unfortunate that this is the method through which Mystery Booster 2 is going on sale, but it means that, if you want some, you’ll need to be ready bang-on at 9 AM PT to be in with a chance of securing a box.
