Dungeons & Dragons: Adventures in the Forgotten Realms will finally arrive in local game stores worldwide this month, and fans are excited to get their hands on the brand new D&D-themed cards from the first-ever crossover Magic set.
The release of Adventures in the Forgotten Realms also brings an update to The List, a selection of cards from across Magic history, changing from release to release as it’s adjusted for the themes of the expansion. Found only in Set Boosters, a card from The List appears 25% of the time in the final card slot. Note that cards in The List are only legal in formats they’re currently legal in, so being in The List doesn’t make the card Standard legal since it’s not technically part of the main set.
WotC has revealed which cards they are adding and removing from The List. Check them out below.
List of Cards Added and Removed from The List
Added cards
- Demonic Tutor
- Doubling Cube
- Hermit Druid
- Gauntlet of Power
- Gemstone Caverns
- Korvold, Fae-Cursed King
Removed cards
- Aether Vial
- Kozilek, Butcher of Truth
- Phyrexian Obliterator
- Splinter Troll
- Termogoyf
Last April, Wizards of the Coast just added Splinter Twin when they updated The List for Strixhaven: School of Mages, springing up speculations that it will get unbanned in the Modern constructed format, and now they’re removing it. WotC, are you just trolling us?
As previously mentioned, you can find cards from The List in the Adventures in the Forgotten Realms Set Boosters, which is now available to pre-order on Amazon.
