There’s many celebrities who are big fans of Magic: the Gathering. From Hunter Pence to Cassius Marsh, the love of the game reaches all kinds of people. One of the biggest names out there when it comes to celebrities who love Magic is Post Malone. Posty has been in a lot of things in the community, from Game Knights, I Hate Your Deck and more. Well today, Wizards of the Coast announced a partnership with Posty!

The partnership will kickoff with the return of Friday Night Magic (FNM), a global play program celebrated by millions of players across more than 8,000 stores worldwide every week.

From the looks of the announcement, this year long partnership with Posty is a way to celebrate Friday Night Magic (FNM) returning to stores in 2022. While they didn’t specifically say what’s happening yet, Wizards did say that they are excited to “collaborate with Posty in ways that will allow his signature style, talent and love of the game to combine in ways fans will never forget“.

The other thing that Wizards mentioned is that 2022 is going to be a year of bigger partnerships, bigger online events, and more ways for players to celebrate the game of Magic. I can’t think of a better way to kick off the year than to have Posty get involved. Posty is a pretty creative guy, so we’re very excited to see what he’s going to bring to the table to spice up FNM’s across the country.

Some things that I think would be really fun is to have Posty playing Spelltable commander matches every Friday with fans. While that’d be a pretty big undertaking and a logistical challenge, It’d be really fun to be able to play games with Posty. Another thing that would definitely be awesome is to have Posty show up to some larger Magic Fests on the Friday before and have a meet up and games of commander.

What would you like to see from Posty and Wizards over the next year as far as kicking up FNM a notch or two? Let us know in the comments!
