Modern Horizons 3 is coming up on us awfully fast, and there’s a lot to look forward to. There are tons of different products to purchase for whatever might strike your fancy. For the main set, you have your typical Play Boosters and booster boxes, as well as collector booster packs and boxes.
On top of that, despite being a Modern-focused set, there will indeed be Commander decks for sale. These Commander decks are even available in all-foil Collector’s Edition versions for those who are interested. As you might expect, many of these products are not cheap. Let’s take a look at where prices lie for major Modern Horizons 3 items.
Modern Horizons 3 Play Booster Prices
As has been the case for previous Modern Horizons sets, Modern Horizons 3 booster packs and displays cost more than typical premier sets. This is even more true this year since Draft Boosters have been replaced by the most costly Play Boosters. A Play Booster Box for Modern Horizons 3 contains 36 Play Boosters, these packs can also be purchased individually.
Currently, looking at the market price on TCGplayer, Modern Horizons 3 is poised to be one of the most expensive sets in 2024. Here are the prices for the set’s Play Boosters.

As a note, the above prices are currently “presale” prices, and are subsequently likely to change. Once Modern Horizons 3 is officially released, on June 14th, prices should steadily stabilize.
Modern Horizon 3 Bundle Price
In case you’re not looking to Draft with a Booster Box, or spend so much, the Modern Horizons 3 Bundle is another option. The Bundle for this set contains nine Play Boosters, a Spindown life counter, a bundle of basic lands, and an exclusive alternative art foil card.

As we mentioned above, the Bundle, like all Modern Horizons 3 products, is currently only available for presale. Due to this, the listed price is more volatile than usual, since it’s unclear what cards may be inside. Once the spoilers season for Modern Horizons 3 ends, prices should stabilize more.
Modern Horizons 3 Prelease Pack Price
Similarly offering a suite of Play Boosters, the Modern Horizons 3 Prerelease Pack can oftentimes be an enticing option. Containing Six Play Boosters, a foil Promo Card, a spindown life counter, and a deck box, this product is first and foremost designed for Prerelease events. In select regions, a Prerelease Pack will also contain an MTG Arena code which can be used to claim digital packs too.

Unlike the other products for Modern Horizons 3, Prerelease Packs will be available from retailers such as TCGPlayer on June 7th, 2024. Alternatively, you’ll get a Prerelease Pack when attending a Prerelease event for Modern Horizons 3 at your Local Game Store.

Modern Horizons 3 Collector Booster Prices
Beyond typical Play Boosters, Collector Boosters are the premium product associated with Modern Horizons 3. Collector Boosters typically boast more foils, lots of Booster Fun treatment, and even offer the opportunity for players to pull rare and expensive serialized cards. Due to these lucrative collectible options, Collector Boosters for Modern Horizons 3 come at a steep premium.
As a note, Modern Horizons 3 Collector Booster Boxes only contain 12 individual Boosters.

More so than the other products for Modern Horizons 3, the price of Collector Boosters has been incredibly volatile. First debuted at $500, the price of Collector Boosters has steadily dropped to its current sub-$400 price point. Depending on the cards that get revealed during spoiler season, this price may decrease further, or even increase.
Modern Horizons 3 Gift Bundle Price
Finally, the last Modern Horizons 3 product to contain Booster Packs is the Gift Bundle. Within this product, players can find nine Play Boosters as well as one Collector Booster. Additionally, the Modern Horizons 3 Gift Bundle also contains an exclusive alternative art card, 30 basic land cards, an oversized spindown life counter, and a storage box.

Notably, the Modern Horizons 3 Bundle: Gift Edition, to give it its official title, launches later on June 28th. As usual, up until this point, the price of the Gift Bundle will be in flux, as the hype for the set varies. Unlike many other Modern Horizons 3 products, the Gift Bundle has steadily been getting more expensive over time, rather than cheaper.

Modern Horizons 3 Commander Deck Prices
Last but not least, Modern Horizons 3 also contains a number of Commander decks. Going above and beyond the usual for a tentpole set, Modern Horizons 3 technically has eight different preconstructed Commander decks. This higher-than-usual number is thanks to the inclusion of Collector’s Edition decks, which feature every card in a foil treatment.
Despite the addition of Collector’s Edition decks, there are still only four themes available for MTG players to pick between. These themes revolve around Eldrazi, Energy counters, the Graveyard, and Ramp/Copy spells. For better or worse, each of the preconstructed Commander decks is currently available for different prices. A bundle containing all four Commander decks is also available.

As mentioned previously, the Collector’s Edition variants of the above decks contain foil copies of the same new and reprinted cards. According to Wizards of the Coast, the Collector’s Edition foil treatment is brand new, and has not yet been seen. Thanks to the inherent collectability of foil MTG cards, the Collector’s Edition decks are unsurprisingly more expensive.
