Massive MTG Aetherdrift Announcement Coming Soon

Considering we just had a massive wave of Innistrad Remastered spoilers last week, players may be startled to learn that we’re getting details for another 2025 set tomorrow. Even though Innistrad’s first look happened some time ago, and we got a wave of spoilers last week, the spoiler season for 2025’s first MTG set, for some bizarre reason, has been postponed to January. Aetherdrift, on the other hand, has a massive showing tomorrow.

Aetherdrift Spoilers Coming Soon

MTG Aetherdrift Artwork

Confirmed by Wizards of the Coast last week, tomorrow’s weekly MTG will be focusing on Aetherdrift. This doesn’t necessarily mean that this Weekly MTG will be kicking off spoiler season for the set, but we should, at the least, see some new cards coming in the set. This isn’t necessarily guaranteed, but we would be incredibly shocked if no cards were unveiled.

Judging from the tweet made by Wizards on X back on December 6, we’ll likely get official confirmation of which three planes this set takes place in. At this point, we know that Chandra is racing to try and get Nissa a device that can, basically, give her a Planeswalker Spark again called The Aetherspark. We’ve been given a bit of a sneak peak at this card, and more details could be revealed tomorrow.

For now, we only have a few spoilers for MTG Aetherdrift from the last MTG convention. There, Daretti, Rocketeer Engineer, Brightglass Gearhulk and Earthrumbler were revealed. Brightglass Gearhulk, in particular, looks incredibly promising for the Standard format.

More Information Needed

Aside from a very strong chance of seeing some MTG Aetherdrift spoilers tomorrow, it’s tough to know exactly what tomorrow’s Weekly MTG means. Is this the beginning of Aetherdrift spoiler season, or simply another taste of the set before the new year?

Similar to Innistrad Remastered, there is a chance that Aetherdrift’s remaining spoilers are reserved for the new year. If this is the case, Christmas time for MTG could be relatively uneventful, which isn’t the worst thing.

Either way, expect some exciting content surrounding the new MTG Aetherdrift set to hit the internet soon. If you’re afraid of blinking and missing it, we’ll have everything you need to know here, so stay tuned.
