The Magic: The Gathering Challenger Decks 2021 are coming but you’ll have to wait a bit longer.

Wizards of the Coast has announced that the Magic: The Gathering Challenger Decks 2021 release date has been delayed to April 2, 2021 due to production issues. This new release date is just a week after the products’ original release (March 26).

MTG has faced shipping delays and complications in the past year due to the COVID-19 pandemic, so this news isn’t surprising. Wizards of the Coast previously noted that the Challenger Decks will be delayed in certain APAC regions due to shipping issues.

The Challenger Decks 2021 are four brand new ready-to-play 75-card decks that are intended to be playable for competitive Standard format at a local level, and it features several staple cards in the Standard format. Each Challenger deck comes with a complete 60-card main deck, and a 15-card sideboard.

The four Challenger Decks 2021 are Azorius Control (blue/white), Dimir Rogue (blue/black), Mono-Red Aggro, and Mono-Green Stompy.

Senior Magic designer recently revealed the packaging for Challenger Decks 2021 in a recent episode of Good Morning Magic!:
