Reality Fracture Jace Emote | How to Unlock | MTG Arena

Solve the mysteries of the Echoverse!

Though we’re still waiting on Reality Fracture’s full paper release, the set is available to play on digital platforms right now. This means you can enjoy all of the set’s powerful new cards on MTGO and MTG Arena, and start trying out new brews early. On top of this, Reality Fracture brings the usual new game board to the MTG Arena platform, which features a hidden Jace emote if you can solve a sneaky puzzle.

The Hidden Jace Emote in MTG Arena

To unlock the new Jace emote, you’ll first need to encounter the new Reality Fracture game board during an MTG Arena match. As pictured above, it’s the board with the funky book-shaped platform in the middle. You can encounter this board in any given game, including bot matches against Sparky, which is where we recommend doing this. Since the board doesn’t show up very often, you can just concede out of bot games until it does appear with no penalty.

Once you find the board, you can start solving the puzzle. This involves locating a mana symbol somewhere on the board, and clicking it three times, causing it to disappear. A portal will then appear briefly in the top-right of the board, and when it closes the next mana symbol in the sequence will appear. Repeat this process with all five symbols to solve the puzzle. These symbols can be a bit tricky to spot, so we’ve included images of all five locations, in order, above.

Once this process is complete, the white mana symbol will appear again, signalling the end of the puzzle. You can then play out your game, or simply concede, and a message will be waiting for you in your inbox afterwards. This will congratulate you for ‘breaking through the illusion,’ and reward you with the new Jace emote, which you can then equip and use as you like.

While this is just a minor easter egg in the grand scheme of things, it’s still nice to see Wizards put effort into the details with each new set release. The Jace emote should come in handy, too, given how powerful The Theorist, Jace Beleren The Theorist, Jace Beleren The Theorist, Jace Beleren At the beginning of each opponent's draw step, you draw a card.
+1: Create a 1/1 blue Illusion creature token.
−2: For each opponent, return up to one target artifact or creature that player controls to its owner's hand.
−6: Draw three cards. Then put X +1/+1 counters on each creature you control, where X is the number of cards in your hand.
