One of the things that draws people to Magic: the Gathering is the art on cards. Wizards of the Coast takes great care to make sure that the art for the game is always top notch, and incredible to behold. Well last week, Wizards announced that they will be releasing a new book in collaboration with Abrams ComicArts, titled Magic: the Gathering: Planes of the Multiverse. This book will be done by Jay Annelli, and is really a love letter to fans of Magic’s deep lore and art.

This book will showcase art from key moments in the history of Magic, such as the Phyrexian Invasion, and War of the Spark to name a few. We’ll also be treated to full character profiles on various Planeswalkers. There will be plenty of art focused around various planes in Magic and a detailing of the Plane, so that fans can learn more about them and what goes on there.

Magic: the Gathering: Planes of the Multiverse releases on August 24th 2021, and you can pre-order the book from Amazon for $16.99 or other various book retailers.
