MTG Dominaria United Booster Boxes are up for sale on Amazon.com. Some new product types are being introduced with the release of MTG’s next Standard set. While we have seen the art for these boxes before in a virtual stream from Wizards of the Coast, this is a first look at what everything may cost. Here, you’ll find everything that we know so far.
MTG Dominaria United Draft Booster Box
The MTG Dominaria United Booster Box comes with 36 Dominaria United booster packs. This Booster Box currently retails for $142.76. While this is a standard price for Amazon, it’s a little on the expensive side. The art on the Booster Box features the return of some beloved characters from the plane of Dominaria. These include Karn, Jodah, Shanna, and the Weatherlight soaring in the background. It’s nice to see the return of some fan favorites from the MTG lore, but it’s also rather predictable. Not to worry, the art on MTG’s other Dominaria products does not disappoint.
MTG Dominaria United Set Booster Box
The MTG Dominaria United Set Booster Box comes with 30 Dominaria United Set Booster packs and is currently retailing on Amazon for $152.99. Unlike Draft Boosters, Set Boosters have a chance of featuring multiple rare cards. They can also feature Commander exclusive cards and valuable chase cards from ‘The List.’ While the Dominaria United Draft Booster Box featured the return of traditional Dominaria characters, this box tells a more exciting story. Liliana Vess and Ajani Steadfast‘s appearance suggests that they will be featured in Dominaria United. If these Set Boosters are anything like New Capenna, they may be the best deal of all the sealed products.
MTG Dominaria United Collector Boosters
Ahh, how the plot thickens. The Dominaria United Collector Booster Box comes with 12 Dominaria United Collector Boosters and one foil box topper. Box toppers have been somewhat inconsistent for Collector Booster products. Hopefully, there is some extra spice available with the topper since the overall price for the box comes in at a hefty $285.48. This box art is off the charts, featuring a Braids that has undergone some kind of mutation. The art here is much more animated in style than the other ones, making me wonder if this will be an alternate art theme in the set. The mutation hints at the possibility of further Phyrexian invasion. Maybe the word United in the title for MTG’s newest set has a double meaning?
MTG Dominaria United Jumpstart
Starting with Dominaria United, Wizards of the Coast are reintroducing Jumpstart Boosters as a regular inclusion to the release of each new Standard set. For reference, Jumpstart is an out-of-the-pack format where you can open two packs of Jumpstart, combine them to make a deck, and battle! This is a fantastic and affordable way to introduce new players to the world of Magic: the Gathering. I am thrilled to see the return of Jumpstart at the exciting low Amazon price of $99.99!
There is a LOT to unpack with the contents of this box. The Dominaria United Jumpstart Booster Box comes with 18 Dominaria United Jumpstart Boosters containing 20 cards. There will be two traditional foil lands in each pack alongside two rares. The most interesting thing to take away from this entire article is that Jumpstart will feature one new card that won’t be featured in the main set at all. Depending on how rare this card is, this may be a new way to introduce expensive chase rares into the game of MTG. Like the old Jumpstart packs, each pack will have its own theme. Eighteen packs is not a lot compared to the other Booster Boxes available for Dominaria United. This does get a little better when you consider that each Jumpstart pack is guaranteed to contain two rares.
MTG Dominaria United Bundle
The MTG Dominaria United Bundle comes with eight Dominaria United Set Boosters, 40 basic lands (half are foil), a D20 MTG themed spindown die, and a small storage box. Strangely, the Dominaria United Bundle’s art is also featured on the Dominaria Set Booster Box. The good news is that it reinforces the suggestion of Liliana and Ajani seeing a new card in this set. This is currently retailing on Amazon for $43.95.
Commander Decks
Commander decks for the Dominaria United set are what we know the least about by far. All we know so far is that, for Amazon prices, the Commander decks are pretty standard. Otherwise, Amazon suggests that there will be four featured Commander decks retailing for $174.02. Individual Commander decks are currently retailing for the expected $41.96 each.
Final Notes
This is everything that Amazon has shown us today for the upcoming Dominaria United Set. Prices look pretty standard for Amazon, but costs for these products will likely be cheaper overall.
