Adventures in the Forgotten Realms Previews Reveal New Planeswalker and More Magic: The Gathering Rares

Day 2 of the official Adventures in the Forgotten Realms previews continues to reveal brand new Dungeons & Dragons-themed Magic: The Gathering cards today, giving us our first look at a new rares and mythic rares, including a new red four-to-cast planeswalker card called Zariel, Archduke of Avernus.

Zariel can give you creatures haste and +1+0 until end of turn with its first (+1) ability. For its second ability (0), it can create a 1/1 devil token that deals 1 damage to any target when it dies. The new planeswalker’s ultimate gives you an emblem that permanently lets you have an additional combat phase each turn.

Other rares revealed so far today are Wight, Wish, Dragon Turtle, , Yuan-Li Malison, Meteor Swarm, Ochre Jelly, and Dungeon Descent.
