MTG Vehicle Sighting Effectively Confirms Unknown 2026 Set

Share

At MagicCon: Atlanta a few weeks ago, the entire 2026 release schedule was revealed. Three new in-universe sets, coupled with four more Universes Beyond crossovers, are officially on the docket. One set, however, is still shrouded in a little bit of mystery.

Of 2026’s four Universes Beyond sets, the one releasing in March 2026 remains unannounced. We do know it’ll be a crossover with Nickelodeon, but the exact property hasn’t been confirmed. One bizarre sighting this week, however, may have just confirmed Magic’s mystery set in 2026. For now, this is just a leak, but this would be the most far-fetched fake to date if it’s not genuine.

According to ppcrotty on Twitter, this vehicle was seen around New York ComicCon earlier today. Sadly, the original tweet has already been taken down; however, the internet is forever, and there’s no un-leaking this. Given the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles branding and the Magic: The Gathering logo, this all but confirms this set’s reveal soon.

Whatever this mysterious set may be, it’ll officially be revealed on October 10th at 11:00 AM, during New York ComicCon. For some strange reason, we get the feeling that food might be involved in this presentation somehow, but that’s just a totally random guess. If only there were a Nickelodeon franchise that had an iconic New York food… like pizza.

Even before the mysterious Nickelodeon set has been confirmed, it’s now exceedingly obvious what it’s to be. Players have had their theories since the announcement was first teased, and this now confirms it. In the words of fans, this makes it “hard to believe it could be anything else at this point.”

The initial reaction to this reveal has been rather mixed. Some fans are incredibly excited that Ninja Turtles are coming to Magic, but the vast majority seem indifferent, or even disappointed. That said, considering the IPs that Nickelodeon has, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles is one of the crossovers that best fit Magic’s vibe among the remaining choices.

While Universes Beyond products have been a smash hit so far, Magic’s recent Spider Man release was largely not received well by the community. This has likely affected player sentiment somewhat for this reveal, but as long as the set is fully intended to be a draftable set, it will likely play far better than Spider Man does.

Despite this detail potentially spoiling the surprise, the actual panel has yet to occur. On Friday, October 10th at 11:00 AM EST, MTG Players will know for certain what Magic’s last set will be. Some fans are hoping that a few spoilers will be thrown our way, especially considering that a majority of Magic’s fan base seems to have predicted the mystery set already.

Whatever happens, we’ll be sure to have all the details here when it breaks.
