For many MTG players, the best part of our beloved game is “the gathering.” There’s no better feeling than hanging out with a bunch of your friends and getting to meet new people with similar interests.
Fortunately, this is exactly what MagicCons are designed for, and it appears that another one of these conventions has officially been revealed. Taking place from November 13th to 15th, MagicCon: Atlanta features the World Championship, a multitude of meet-and-greets, and more. There’s even an opportunity to walk away with a MagicCon exclusive textless promo card while supplies last.
Preordain Promo

The sheer consistency that Preordain adds to blue decks was enough to keep the sorcery banned in Modern up until 2023. Since being unlocked, Preordain has become a consistent four-of in Modern Prowess shells, while sometimes making a splash in Affinity and Belcher decks.
Beyond its Modern appeal, this efficient card selection spell is a Pauper Familiars staple and helps some Legacy Izzet decks keep Cori-Steel Cutter tokens flowing. Once you factor in its massive Commander appeal, appearing in over 400,000 decks according to EDHREC, it’s safe to say that Preordain is a popular card.
Even though this common’s reprint value is only around $0.50, players still overwhelmingly approve of the promo choice. Many players applauded the card’s gorgeous artwork, while others admired Wizards’ decision to give this simple design a textless variant.
For anyone interested in getting their hands on this promo, you can do so by spending $150 per copy at the on-site Official Show Store at MagicCon: Atlanta. MagicCon: Atlanta badges go on sale on June 16th, so don’t miss your chance to book your spot.
