As hinted last month, there will be 5 brand new Magic: The Gathering Commander decks that will be released along the Strixhaven: School of Mages main set, and today, Magic senior designer Gavin Verhey has given fans a sneak peek at 3 out of the 5 Commanders that will be featured in those decks. Verhey confirms that all of the Commanders are professors that represent each of the 5 schools of Strixhaven University (Quandrix, Witherbloom, Prismari, Lorehold, and Silverquill).
Each of these Commanders will be two-colored cards, and although Verhey doesn’t reveal the card details for all the new Strixhaven Commanders in this video, he reveals the names and artworks for Witherbloom (Black/Green), Lorehold (Red/White), and Prismari (Red/Blue).
