Earlier today, Wizards of the Coast has announced brand new Magic: The Secret Lair products, including one to celebrate Mother’s Day. The tribute to Magic’s favorite mother, Mother of Runes features new art from four different artists to give their own take on motherhood, and in addition to Ejiwa “Edge” Ebenebe’s and Livia Prima’s beautiful pieces, real-life mother and child Rebecca Guay and Eliette Mitchell have also created gorgeous pieces showing different sides of relationship.
The Mother’s Day 2021 Secret Lair is part of the All Natural, Totally Refreshing superdrop coming this summer, and pre-orders will take place from June 21 to July 23. All of the Secret Lairs will officially be released on September 23, and each drop comes in a foil and non-foil version. Non-foil editions will cost $29.99, and foils will cost you $39.99.
Secret Lair: Mother’s Day 2021
This marks the return of Rebecca Guay to Magic after a long hiatus. Guay is known for her stunning fantasy art for MTG such as Enchantress’s Presence and Bitterblossom, and now she’s back with her child to create art for the Mother’s Day 2021 Secret Lair.
