New Regional Championship Promos Feature $13 Death Combo Piece

Share

We’re fresh off Pro Tour Edge of Eternities and watching Belcher dominate the top eight was a thing of beauty. With the event in the rear-view mirror, though, it’s already time for players to start preparing for the upcoming competitive season.

The next round of Regional Championship Qualifiers starts in November, and we just got a glimpse at the promos available for participants and top eight competitors. For players who have qualified for the upcoming Regional Championship events running from January to March, 2026, the promo associated with these events has also been revealed. The promos this time around see lots of play for the most part, so let’s take a look at what’s in store for us.

Participation Promo

Flowerfoot Swordmaster

For anyone who participates in a Regional Championship Qualifier event between November 22nd, 2025, and March 22nd, 2026, you will receive a copy of Flowerfoot Swordmaster just for entering. Like most previous participation promos in the past, Flowerfoot Swordmaster isn’t going to break the bank. However, it does see some Standard play.

Flowerfoot Swordmaster is a common inclusion in Boros Mice decks in Standard. Its synergy with cards like Manifold Mouse and Mabel, Heir to Cragflame makes it a perfect inclusion. Thanks to Offspring, it’s also quite versatile. Playing it as a one-drop when you don’t have any others is important, especially with Heartfire Hero out of the mix.

Against removal-heavy decks, though, getting two copies for three mana is a decent exchange. Going wide and triggering Valiant to buff all of your Mice is a good way to apply pressure.

Boros Mice has fallen out of favor a bit compared to traditional mono-red aggro, but this could easily change in the future. Flowerfoot Swordmaster may only be worth between 10 and 20 cents according to TCGplayer, but at least we got a promo that sees some Standard play. It’s also gorgeous, and as we will see, it pairs perfectly with the top eight promo.

Top 8 Promo

For those that make it to top eight of their Regional Championship Qualifier, you’ll also receive a promo copy of Manifold Mouse. Manifold Mouse is a powerhouse, especially in Pioneer.

Since Heartfire Hero and Monstrous Rage were banned, Manifold Mouse’s Standard stock has dropped since mono-red aggro has steered away from the Mouse package. The deck now favors more generic cards that attack the meta effectively like Razorkin Needlehead. Nonetheless, Manifold Mouse is still a staple of Boros Mice, and in Pioneer, where you get access to Hero and Rage, the Mouse package excels.

This card leads to the most explosive starts Pioneer mono-red has to offer. Being able to trigger Valiant every turn is incredible, especially when you factor in the card advantage Emberheart Challenger provides. Add in the Offspring ability, and it’s no wonder this card sees as much play as it does.

Unfortunately, from a reprint value perspective, Manifold Mouse isn’t all that exciting. It’s worth just over 50 cents in its cheapest traditional form. Considering that the last group of Qualifiers gave out Laughing Jasper Flint as the top eight promo, which sees virtually no competitive play at the moment, Manifold Mouse is an improvement. Still, some players are disappointed in the value of these cards, especially when compared to recent Store Championship promos.

Top eight players will receive non-foil copies, and the winner of the tournament will get a foil copy.

Regional Championship Promo

The most exciting promo of the bunch definitely goes to Innkeeper’s Talent. Innkeeper’s Talent is given to all players that earn a slot to a Regional Championship taking place from January 24th to March 15th, 2026.

First of all, this card sees ample play. Simic aggro has been on the rise in Standard, and Innkeeper’s Talent is a staple of the archetype. Some red aggro players also choose to splash green for this powerhouse as another way to reliably trigger Valiant.

In EDH, any deck with a +1/+1 counter theme can make great use of this card. If you get to level 3, all of a sudden, casting some Planeswalkers with brutal ultimate abilities such as Nicol Bolas, Dragon God becomes a game-winning option.

In fact, prior to rotation, Innkeeper’s Talent used to see some play alongside Vraska, Betrayal’s Sting in Standard. The goal was to have Vraska enter with double the number of loyalty counters. That way, you could immediately use the -9 ability and give your opponent nine poison counters. These counters would be doubled, granting your opponent 18 Poison counters in one go.

All of these factors contribute to the Bloomburrow rare being worth $13. This is significantly more than some previous Regional Championship promos, including Living End, which was given at Regional Championships feeding Pro Tour Edge of Eternities.

Notably, all participants get a non-foil copy, and top performers get a foil copy. As a result, the supply of foil copies is very limited, resulting in significant price disparities. For example, even though Nexus of Fate (a Regional Championship promo from the 2024-2025 seasons) non-foil promos can be purchased for only roughly $8 on TCGplayer, foil promos are listed at over $300! Expect these Innkeeper’s Talent foils to hold a ton of value.
