With Wizards of the Coast’s slew of misprints and product delays, it’s rare for any set release to go without a hitch nowadays. Sadly, the same is true for Reality Fracture, as tons of Play Boosters are expected to be delayed past Prerelease. While that shouldn’t affect the event itself, it will make cards hard to get shortly afterward.
Unfortunately, while Reality Fracture delays shouldn’t impact things too badly, the set has a misprint that affects a very specific Limited interaction. If you open Karn, Gilded Guardian, you’ll want to know about this MTG Reality Fracture token misprint.

With how slow Reality Fracture Limited is shaping up to be, greedier cards look far more playable than expected. Even Karn, Gilded Guardian might be better than expected, since it can easily draw two cards alongside the Gruul Konstrari’s Heartwood Tokens. If you open the right cards, Flickering Hound could turn this into an incredible draw engine.
That said, as strong as this synergy is, a surprising token misprint may make it easy to miss. It turns out that the first print batch Heartwood Tokens for Reality Fracture are misprinted as colorless instead of Gruul. This could mislead players into thinking that Karn won’t draw any cards with a Heartwood Token in play.

in constructed or Commander, this misprint could cause even more confusion soon. Considering that some of the new Konstrari cards, like

and Heartwood Crafter, look like reasonable Commander options, some colored interactions might come up and be missed.
With that in mind, if you’re attending Reality Fracture Prerelease this weekend, be sure to tell the event host about this misprint. While it shouldn’t impact your Prerelease games outside of Karn, Gilded Guardian, knowing about it could be surprisingly important.
