MTG Multiformat Instant Speed Draw Engine Sees 360% Price Increase

In quite an interesting change, the source of MTG price spikes recently seems to be the Standard format, first and foremost. For a long time, Commander was the format primarily driving secondary market changes. While that format still has a massive weight on the financial market, it seems to have taken a back seat. That being said, Enduring Curiosity, however, doesn’t care about formats, as it’s great everywhere.

Enduring Curiosity

Enduring Curiosity is seeing elevated Pioneer, Standard, and Commander play and it’s not hard to understand why. The Cat Glimmer comes in at instant speed, allowing you to keep interaction at the ready. It’s also easily capable of drawing a ton of cards in decks like Dimir Midrange in Standard and Dimir Ninjas in Pioneer. The card is also incredibly powerful in Pioneer Spirits decks. This, combined with its 4/3 body, is mainly why Enduring Curiosity is seeing a lot of play, but things get better.

Even if you manage to remove Enduring Curiosity, like the rest of the Enduring series, the card jumps right back into play as an enchantment. This means that your other small creatures will still be able to draw cards when they deal damage. Even having just a couple of creatures connect with Enduring Curiosity’s effect can mean that your opponent is no longer able to keep up. This type of effect is obviously a no-brainer in Commander token decks as well.

The Spike

Thanks to seeing tons of Pioneer, Standard, and Commander play, Enduring Curiosity has seen quite the price spike. Since the end of September when Duskmourn was making its way out, Enduring Curiosity has increased from a bit under $2 to about $8.66 in its near-mint base variant. The foil iteration of this card shows similar spikes.

According to recent sales, there’s still quite a range of prices you can find Enduring Curiosity for. $5 tends to be the cheapest you can somewhat consistently find this card, but prices between the $6-8 range are more realistic. Do note that $10-11 sales from TCGplayer Direct may be having an effect on the market average of this card.

According to market averages, the normal version of Enduring Curiosity appears to be the cheapest one, but the extended art version is very comparable. Sales and prices appear to be about the same, but extended art foils have a slight premium over the other variations.

Extended art anime variants of Enduring Curiosity have quite a premium. Normal versions of that artwork are going for $30 and up, while Shatter Foils are well over $100. If you want to splurge on the showcase version of Enduring Curiosity, you have that choice.

For those wanting to get Enduring Curiosity on the cheap, $5 seems like a reasonable price, which is still twice as expensive as the card used to be. Honestly, $5 seems like a decent price for this card going forward. Enduring Curiosity sees Commander and Pioneer play, which gives it staying power once it rotates out of Standard at the beginning of 2026. By then, though, who knows if this card will even remain competitive? Only time will tell.
