They’re extremely rare, but every once in a while, MTG Arena offers an event with free goodies at stake. To celebrate The Hobbit, a new MTG Arena riddle event is now available in players’ inboxes, offering some borderless card styles and a Bilbo Avatar for all those who solve it.
Here, you’ll find all the answers for the MTG Arena Riddles in the Dark event, unlocking all the free goodies that are up for offer. Because of this, if you want to try solving these riddles for yourself, consider this your spoiler warning.
MTG Arena Riddles in the Dark Answers
In the top right corner of your MTG Arena homepage, in your inbox, you’ll find a message titled “Your First Riddle”, offering a riddle for you to solve. Once you have the answer, you can input your guess as a redeemable code. On desktop, you can do this at the top right of the MTG Arena Store page, but on mobile, you’ll need to sign in at myaccounts.wizards.com, outside of the MTG Arena app, and redeem your codes there.
For each riddle you solve, you’ll get another message in your inbox, offering yet another riddle to ponder, for a total of eight. Notably, if you just want to input all eight answers without solving them yourself, you don’t need to read the messages to do this. Here are the redeemable codes to solve all eight MTG Arena riddles:
- Riddle 1: Mountain
- Riddle 2: Teeth
- Riddle 3: Wind
- Riddle 4: Darkness
- Riddle 5: Egg
- Riddle 6: Fish
- Riddle 7: Time
- Riddle 8: Myprecious
After solving all eight riddles, one final challenge awaits, requiring you to put all of the riddles together into one MTG Arena decklist. There may be a few possible answers for this section, but above you’ll find the exact decklist that worked for us. Notably, you’ll need to name your deck Riddles in the Dark for this to work. You need to solve this final portion of the event to unlock the Bilbo Avatar for free.
This event may be small, but it’s great to see MTG Arena doing fun, flavorful giveaways like this. Hopefully, this is well received and encourages more events in the future.
