Modern Horizons 2 preview season officially begins!

During today’s Weekly MTG livestream, Wizards of the Coast has revealed new Magic: The Gathering cards from Modern Horizons 2, the second-ever straight-to-Modern set. As previously confirmed, the ancient planeswalker Dakkon Blackblade is getting a planeswalker card in Modern Horizons 2, and today, we get our first look at the three-colored planeswalker card as well as other brand new cards that will be introduced to the game’s Modern Constructed format.

Dan Musser, Play Design Manager at Wizards of the Coast, talked about how they designed the new cards, and answered some questions from the fans. A lot of the cards revealed today are callbacks to older cards like Flametongue Kavu and Demonic Tutor, and just like the first Modern Horizons set, there’s a good amount of legendary cards featured in Modern Horizons 2, and many of them have been revealed today. We also get to see borderless versions as well as cards with old school card frames.
