Modern Horizons 2 reveals a new Dragon with Delve!
Wizards of the Coast has revealed more new Magic: The Gathering cards from the upcoming straight-to-Modern set, Modern Horizons 2 today, including a blue mythic rare Dragon with Delve, and it’s called Murktide Regent. It has Flying, and it enters the battlefield with a +1+1 counter on it for each instant and sorcery exiled with it. In addition, whenever an instant or sorcery card leaves your graveyard, put a +1+ counter on Murktide Regent.

Murktide Regent’s mana cost is expensive but it shouldn’t be hard to cast with Delve. There are probably dozens of ways to bring out Murktide Regent by turn 2 in Modern, and its power and toughness can be big as well if you manage to Delve multiple sorceries and instants. You can also cast cards with Flashback to add +1+1 counters. With a lot of graveyard hate in Modern Horizons 2, this card seems fair so it’s probably not going to get banned like Dig Through Time and Treasure Cruise.
