New video reveals the equipment system of Magic: Legends
Perfect World and Cryptic Studios has released a new video for Magic: Legends, the upcoming action role-playing game (ARPG) set in the Multiverse of Magic: The Gathering.
Shared on the official Magic: Legends Twitter account, the four minute-long clip features Design Lead Adam Hetenyi explaining how the Equipment system (a.k.a. gear system) of Magic: Legends works.
The game will feature six slots for equipment, and gears come in four rarities: common, uncommon, rare, and mythic rare (just like tabletop Magic). Equipments will also have core mods and adaptive mods to give players more ways to upgrade and customize their gear. Adaptive mods can be interchanged. If you get duplicates of a gear, you will get upgrade materials for that specific equipment.
Equipments can also unlock cosmetic options, and the video reveals how you access these appearance updates by going to a tailor.
It looks like Magic: Legends will have a lot of ways to customize the look and stats of your planeswalker. You can find out more about the game’s Equipment system here. The developer has also released a video revealing how to craft your spell deck in Magic: Legends.

Magic: Legends Open Beta will begin on March 23 for the PC; for other details and how to sign up, click here. It will be fully released for the PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One later this year.
