Earlier this week, a brand-new Deadpool Secret Lair drop was revealed out of nowhere on social media. While this drop certainly captured the Deadpool aesthetic, its financial value was sadly lacking. Fortunately, a newly-revealed bonus card for the drop could save its fortunes yet.
As other creators have received the drop in the mail, it appears that the excellent Deadpool, Trading Card, from last year’s Deadpool drop is a potential bonus card here. On top of this, the bonus card for the hugely popular Dandan drop has been revealed as well. While it’s not quite as prolific, this card is already selling for big sums on the secondary market.
The Deadpool, Trading Card Bonus Card

As revealed in an Instagram video from Galaxygeeksal, Deadpool, Trading card is a possible bonus card for the new Deadpool drop. In this new video, this card shows up instead of the Mountain we saw in Taalia Vess’s reveal video. With this information in mind, it seems like Deadpool, Trading Card is probably a rare bonus card here.
Of all the mechanically unique Secret Lair cards Deadpool, Trading card is one of the most deserving of a reprint. The ability to swap text boxes with another creature lets you deal with the most significant threats in Commander. As a result, the card is played in a ton of different Rakdos decks, in Duel Commander in particular.
This widespread play, combined with the card’s limited availability, has pushed it into the $20 range on the secondary market. Despite Deadpool getting a reprint, however, this Bonus Card is extremely unlikely to affect the original’s secondary market price. If anything, this new version will likely be worth a lot more than $20, depending on how rare the bonus card ends up being.
That said, player reaction to the reprint is mixed, meaning the card may be worth less than expected. Most players seem to prefer the original printing of the card, with many calling the Retro Frame version ugly. While some do seem to enjoy how well it captures the character, they’re in the minority so far.
The Dandan Vision Charm Bonus Cards

On top of today’s exciting Deadpool, Trading Card reveal, we also got to see the bonus card for the just-shipped Dandan Secret Lair drop. In this case, we’re getting two copies of Vision Charm, a card conspicuously absent from the drop’s final list.
In the Dandan format, this is a one-mana way to clear all the titular fish from the board by temporarily removing the Islands they depend on. You can also use it to mill the deck, to prevent your opponent from setting up draws with Brainstorm. It’s a traditional card in the deck, in other words, so it’s great to see that it actually will be part of the drop after all.
In terms of broader financial value, Vision Charm is a lot less exciting. The card’s only prior printing, the Visions original, can be had for around $1.30 right now. While it does see a good amount of play in Premodern Stiflenought decks, it’s otherwise a niche Commander card at best. In that respect, a borderless bonus card version might not be the hottest ticket in town.
That said, early sales for this version somewhat contradict this. While only a handful of copies have been sold so far, they’ve all gone for $46-50, which is definitely surprising. If this price holds up, it represents a huge value add for the drop, since it’s likely a guaranteed bonus.
