Did someone order a Combo meal?

After two weeks of excitement, today marks the final day of Reality Fracture preview season. Overall, this set seems like an absolute home run, with a ton of powerful cards for all manner of Magic formats. Interestingly, it’s also a much more combo-heavy set than we’re used to, particularly at the uncommon level. Today saw the reveal of several more MTG Reality Fracture spoilers which enable lethal combo lines in Commander, cementing this set’s ever-growing reputation.

Marwyn, the Preserver MTG

Marwyn the Preserver MTG

For a two-mana uncommon, Marwyn, the Preserver is an absolute banger of an MTG card. Not only do you get a well-statted body with a relevant creature type here, but you also get two fantastic abilities for land-focused decks. Blanket Hexproof prevents your opponents from messing with your lands, meaning lands that require investment of resources, like Evendo, Waking Haven, no longer need to fear blowouts from cards like Boseiju, Who Endures Boseiju, Who Endures Boseiju, Who Endures {T}: Add {G}.
Channel — {1}{G}, Discard this card: Destroy target artifact, enchantment, or nonbasic land an opponent controls. That player may search their library for a land card with a basic land type, put it onto the battlefield, then shuffle. This ability costs {1} less to activate for each legendary creature you control.
.

The real juice here is that activated ability, however, which enables some very tasty infinite combo lines. With Six and Lion’s Eye Diamond Lion’s Eye Diamond Lion’s Eye Diamond Discard your hand, Sacrifice this artifact: Add three mana of any one color. Activate only as an instant. , for example, you can generate infinite mana. Simply crack Diamond for three mana, pay two to recur a land to your hand, then discard said land to cast Diamond again via Retrace.

For a more affordable combo, you can rope in Worm Harvest and Phyrexian Altar Phyrexian Altar Phyrexian Altar Sacrifice a creature: Add one mana of any color. . With at least seven lands in your graveyard, sacrificing the tokens generated by a cast of Harvest will give you enough mana to recast it via Retrace, then recur the land you discarded to your hand. This will net you infinite enters and dies triggers, and if you have more than seven lands in your ‘yard it’ll get you infinite tokens and mana, too.

Rescue Girl, First Responder MTG

Rescue Girl First Responder

Much like Marwyn, Rescue Girl is a phenomenally flexible legend at the uncommon slot. Tapping to bounce any permanent back to your hand has a ton of utility, whether you’re reusing a value creature like Loran of the Third Path, or taking back a low-loyalty planeswalker to cast again. The fact that it can bounce lands as well is fairly unique among effects like this, and lets you easily nab extra Landfall triggers, or repurpose utility lands like Eiganjo, Seat of the Empire.

Rescue Girl’s ability also enables a solid suite of combo lines, including an easy infinite enters triggers loop with Intruder Alarm Intruder Alarm Intruder Alarm Creatures don't untap during their controllers' untap steps.
Whenever a creature enters, untap all creatures.
and a zero-mana creature like Ornithopter Ornithopter Ornithopter Flying . A similar line is available with Jeskai Ascendancy Jeskai Ascendancy Jeskai Ascendancy Whenever you cast a noncreature spell, creatures you control get +1/+1 until end of turn. Untap those creatures.
Whenever you cast a noncreature spell, you may draw a card. If you do, discard a card.
and any zero-mana artifact, too, letting you loot through your whole deck and build up an infinitely large creature. If the artifact is a mana rock, like Mox Amber Mox Amber Mox Amber {T}: Add one mana of any color among legendary creatures and planeswalkers you control. , you’ll net infinite mana as well.

Rescue Girl even lets you take infinite turns by bouncing a spell-recursion creature like Archaeomancer Archaeomancer Archaeomancer When this creature enters, return target instant or sorcery card from your graveyard to your hand. each turn, using that to grab and cast something like Time Warp Time Warp Time Warp Target player takes an extra turn after this one. over and over. Add in some pseudo-combo lines, like bouncing and recasting The One Ring The One Ring The One Ring Indestructible
When The One Ring enters, if you cast it, you gain protection from everything until your next turn.
At the beginning of your upkeep, you lose 1 life for each burden counter on The One Ring.
{T}: Put a burden counter on The One Ring, then draw a card for each burden counter on The One Ring.
every turn for perpetual protection, and Rescue Girl has a ton to offer in Commander.

Saheeli, Jewel of Avishkar MTG

Saheeli Jewel of Avishkar MTG

While we’ve seen plenty of ‘whenever you cast a noncreature spell, make a token’ type cards before, Saheeli stands out thanks to its Haste-granting effect. This lets it apply pressure far more effectively than its peers, especially in concert with other Thopter support cards like Stridehangar Automaton Stridehangar Automaton Stridehangar Automaton Thopters you control get +1/+1.
If one or more artifact tokens would be created under your control, those tokens plus an additional 1/1 colorless Thopter artifact creature token with flying are created instead.
.

Combo-wise, Saheeli opens up a nice range of options, too, winning the game on the spot alongside Retraction Helix Retraction Helix Retraction Helix Until end of turn, target creature gains "{T}: Return target nonland permanent to its owner's hand." , Intruder Alarm Intruder Alarm Intruder Alarm Creatures don't untap during their controllers' untap steps.
Whenever a creature enters, untap all creatures.
, and a zero-mana artifact. With this setup, casting the artifact makes a Thopter and untaps Saheeli, letting you tap it to bounce the artifact. Rinse and repeat for an infinite board of Hasty Fliers to close out the game.

Hall of Echoes MTG

Combo Spoilers MTG Reality Fracture Hall of Echoes

Utility lands have been getting more and more pushed in Magic recently, but even so, Hall of Echoes feels like a standout. This is a non-legendary Clone Clone Clone You may have this creature enter as a copy of any creature on the battlefield. effect, at a reasonable rate, on an untapped colorless land. Right off the bat, this is a fantastic addition to most Commander decks as a way to double down on your key creature, but it goes far beyond that.

Hall of Echoes also has a deep suite of combos it enables, which is frankly terrifying given it’s a land. You can use it to copy Kodama of the East Tree Kodama of the East Tree Kodama of the East Tree Reach
Whenever another permanent you control enters, if it wasn't put onto the battlefield with this ability, you may put a permanent card with equal or lesser mana value from your hand onto the battlefield.
Partner (You can have two commanders if both have partner.)

When this land enters, return a land you control to its owner's hand.
{T}: Add {G}{W}.
in and out repeatedly. Add in Amulet of Vigor Amulet of Vigor Amulet of Vigor Whenever a permanent you control enters tapped, untap it. , and this loop gets you infinite mana, too.

Alternatively, you can copy a Gisela, Blade of Goldnight Gisela, Blade of Goldnight Gisela, Blade of Goldnight Flying, first strike
If a source would deal damage to an opponent or a permanent an opponent controls, that source deals double that damage to that player or permanent instead.

with Hall of Echoes, then equip one with Blade of Selves Blade of Selves Blade of Selves Equipped creature has myriad. (Whenever it attacks, for each opponent other than defending player, you may create a token copy that's tapped and attacking that player or a planeswalker they control. Exile the tokens at end of combat.)

to mill out your whole deck, and this is a seriously stacked land for Commander.

Gardenize MTG

Combo Spoilers MTG Reality Fracture Gardenize

Most players probably didn’t have a color-shifted Black Market Black Market Black Market Whenever a creature dies, put a charge counter on this enchantment.
At the beginning of your first main phase, add {B} for each charge counter on this enchantment.
on their Reality Fracture bingo cards, but Gardenize is almost exactly that. While it’s weaker because it only triggers when your own creatures die, it’s also two mana cheaper, which lets it come down much earlier in the game. This makes it a fantastic ramp piece in Token decks, or decks like Elves that play a lot of small, fragile creatures.

Gardenize also has a bit of a combo edge, serving as a way to convert any infinite dies-triggers loop into infinite mana on your next upkeep. The classic Gravecrawler Gravecrawler Gravecrawler This creature can't block.
You may cast this card from your graveyard as long as you control a Zombie.
and Phyrexian Altar Phyrexian Altar Phyrexian Altar Sacrifice a creature: Add one mana of any color. line is a great pick here, but there are countless options. Once your upkeep rolls around, you’ll have all the mana you need to use any outlet you’d like, whether it’s Finale of Devastation Finale of Devastation Finale of Devastation Search your library and/or graveyard for a creature card with mana value X or less and put it onto the battlefield.
