Article at a Glance

MTG Rocks has been around for quite some time, and the Trading Card Game, or TCG, space has been evolving. Magic may have just celebrated 30 years, but now Yu-Gi-Oh is celebrating 25! Pokémon continues to grow. Even Disney finally got in on the action.

MTG Rocks isn’t changing. Our mission is to cover everything that happens in the Magic space, creating one place for everything you need to know. This game moves incredibly fast, and keeping track of all the moving parts, especially during one of the game’s various spoiler seasons, is a monumental task.

That said, there’s so much more in the TCG industry other than just Magic. For that reason, we’re launching a new site to cover every major event happening in the TCG space, including Magic’s biggest news breaks!

TCG Rocks

TCG Rocks is scheduled to launch February 8, 2024. This site aims to cover breaking news across the TCG industry, as well as focusing in on some TCGs with more detail. Did you know that just last week, a big TCG in the U.S. suddenly disappeared? Many TCG players, regardless of the game they play, know about Exodia, the Forbidden One. That archetype just got a ton of new cards spoiled to celebrate Yu-Gi-Oh!’s 25th anniversary! If you’re a fan of other TCGs, but enjoy the way we cover the world of Magic, TCG Rocks can scratch the itch you may have never known you had.

While we want to cover all of the news happening across the TCG industry, we want to focus in a bit more on some select titles while the TCG Rocks is still new. If you’re a Disney Lorcana, Yu-Gi-Oh or a Pokemon fan, we should have lots of articles to keep you informed! Expect to find similar guides on best cards and decks that you would on MTG Rocks over there.

Is MTG Rocks Changing?

Not really. While we have our own plans to make this site better than ever for 2024, MTG Rocks isn’t going anywhere and will continue to cover MTG just like it always has.

TCG Rocks will also dabble into the world of MTG, but longer articles covering every single aspect of the game will continue to be available on this site only. Think of TCG Rocks offering a sample of the biggest and brightest things in Magic, while MTG Rocks will cover absolutely everything in the world of Magic.

We Hope You’re As Excited as We Are!

We love everything about the TCG world, and we want to share the most exciting parts of it with you. Whether you’re an MTG, Pokémon, Digimon, or even a One Piece TCG fan, we want to create a space for you to see the most exciting things from your TCG.

If you’re a fan of the MTG Rocks team’s writing, you’ll be able to find us over on TCG Rocks as well. Regardless of what TCG you play, we wish you the best of luck with your pulls!
