Kamigawa: Neon Dynasty just released on Magic Arena and players are flocking to see what cards are going to be good in various formats. Today, we’ll be looking at the cards that are going to make the biggest impact in Alchemy, Magic Arena‘s digital only format.
10. Spinning Wheel Kick
Number 10 on our list might be a bit controversial, but it’s Spinning Wheel Kick. We often see 1 mana 1/1 Deathtouch creatures in sideboards of Mono Green and Gruul decks to work with their fight spells like Blizzard Brawl. Well now, those decks can machine gun down a whole board with very little effort.
9. Atsushi, the Blazing Sky
Number 9 is Atsushi, the Blazing Sky. Atsushi is a very powerful 4 mana dragon that I think fits in very nicely into the Izzet Dragons Deck. There’s also a world where a Big Red deck can form with this, utilizing the 3 treasure tokens for ramp.
8. Hotshot Mechanic
Number 8 on the list is Hotshot Mechanic. There’s a very real chance that a vehicles deck comes about from this set, and Hotshot Mechanic is definitely a part of it. Giving us some easy crew potential is huge, and also being an artifact has it benefits too.
7. Surgehacker Mech
Number 7 is Surgehacker Mech. This vehicle is a very powerful removal spell in the vehicles deck, only require 2 vehicles to really deal with most creatures. It’s also a 5/5 with Menace and can be crewed with Hotshot Mechanic alone, which is great.
6. Rabbit Battery
Number 6 is Rabbit Battery. Mono Red Aggro has been down bad lately, and Rabbit Battery, alongside another card on our list, is just what the doctor ordered. This is a cheap hasty creature that is also a cheap haste enabler for our other creatures when we need it.
5. Boseiju, Who Endures
Next up at number 6 is Boseiju, Who Endures. This land is already high in speculation across multiple formats and it’s also great here too. While being a land in our deck, it also provides great utility for the format. This can nail down cards like The Meathook Massacre, as well as nonbasic lands with ease.
4. Eiganjo, Seat of the Empire
Number 4 on the list is Eiganjo, Seat of the Empire. Similarly to Boseiju, this land provides white decks with some great utility, while being another land in the deck. 3 mana or less to deal 4 damage to a creature is pretty great value.
3. Invigorating Hot Spring
Kicking off the top 3, another possibly controversial pick, is Invigorating Hot Spring. Gruul aggro is a very strong deck in the format right now. This reasonably costed enchantment is a great way for us to just beef up our team, while making them go fast.

2. Kumano Faces Kakkazan / Etching of Kumano
Number 2 on our list is Kumano Faces Kakkazan / Etching of Kumano. This is the other card that really helps give mono red aggro its legs. An early 1 drop to start putting the damage on, while buffing our turn 2 creature is already good. But then it flips into a 2/2 haste with a very powerful effect.

1. The Wandering Emperor
Rounding out our top 10 as the most impactful card in Alchemy is The Wandering Emperor. This new planeswalker is ridiculously strong. It has flash, and instant speed ability activation, which is very rare in for planeswalkers. Her abilities are all great as well, buffing a creature, making a Samurai, and exiling a tapped creature and gaining us life. All very versatile, and you could almost play this in any deck.
