While Magic is easily one of the best and most popular games in the world, it’s hardly perfect. Despite the incredible gameplay and artwork on offer, Magic is absurdly expensive. With the average deck costing hundreds of dollars, and constant price hikes caused by the Universes Beyond initiative, Magic is now more expensive than ever.
With this in mind, stretching your dollars as far as possible is important, making any kind of sale a big deal for MTG players. With Amazon Prime Big Deal Day on October 6-7, there’s plenty of savings to take advantage of, but they won’t be around long. Here’s the best Amazon Prime Big Deal Day sales for MTG.
An Incredible Deal for Lord of the Rings Fans and New Players
On top of MTG being an expensive game, it’s also very difficult to learn. With the longest rulebook in the world, Magic is quite literally one of the most complex games that one can possibly play. Thanks to this, any visual aid that can help new players learn the game, or interact with your board, can be a huge help.
Among the Amazon Prime Big Deal Day deals we found, this one is, by far, the most enticing for teaching new players. Whether you use the playmat from the Ultimate TCG Battle Set for yourself, or gift it to a new player, having all the play zones on the mat can helps make things a lot clearer. The fantastic artwork here is just another bonus, with an alternate One Ring artwork available for those who want something different. The playmat is stitched, too, meaning that the material is likely of a higher quality.
On top of the playmat, this bundle also gives players a collection of dice, helping keep track of buffs, nerfs, and keywords that your creatures may gain when in play. All of this is available for just $16 after a $4 discount thanks to Amazon Prime Big Deal Day, making it a fantastic buy, or Christmas gift, for yourself or another MTG player.
Gamegenic Matte Sleeves Standard Card Game-Size Value Pack 200
Once players start building multiple Commander decks, or start building an expensive binder, you’ll need a ton of MTG sleeves to keep your cards protected. You probably won’t need 200 sleeves right away, but at the rate new cards and Commander Precons are getting printed, it probably won’t take long. That said, because these sleeves are clear, these won’t be fantastic sleeves for double-sided MTG cards, making them better for binder cards than anything else.
As far as quality goes, Gamegenic is hard to beat, offering a nice shuffling feel. I actually took Gamegenics to a recent event and played over 35 games with them without any of the sleeves breaking or getting marked. Due to this, if you do decide to use these for Commander, you should get a fair amount of use out of it. I would not recommend using clear sleeves for competitive MTG decks, however.
Thanks to Amazon Prime Big Deal Day, Gamegenic’s Clear Matte sleeves are available on the cheap, offering 200 sleeves for just $9.50 with a 17% discount. This could be one of the best opportunities to pick up MTG sleeves in bulk on the cheap.
If you’d rather double sleeve your more expensive cards for extra protection, Titan inner sleeves are also available for a discount on Amazon Prime Big Deal Day, offering a whopping 400 inner sleeves for $10.35 after a 26% discount.
HandleSTTRBOX Commander Deck Box
If you aren’t in need of sleeves, but instead need a way to carry your Commander decks to your game night, the HandleSTTR Box offers everything you could ever need. With four dedicated deck boxes that fit 100+ double sleeved cards, and another row to fit even more cards in, there’s plenty of space to store your Commander decks. The carrying case comes with extra pockets to store dice and other accessories as well.
Buying higher quality carrying cases like this can be quite expensive, which makes this Amazon Prime Big Deal Day sale even more impressive. With a $15 discount, this storage box is currently available for $45, but only for limited time.
Lorwyn Eclipsed Casual Album
If you’re instead looking for a high-quality binder to keep your MTG cards safe, Gamegenic’s Magic: The Gathering Lorwyn Eclipsed Casual Album is currently on-sale. Offering 420 slots for your valuable cards, this binder uses side-loading slots to ensure your cards stay in the binder.
Offering beautiful artwork from Lorwyn Eclipsed throughout, this binder is currently available at a $10 discount thanks to Amazon Prime Big Deal Day. Available for just $23, this is a fantastic price for a high-quality MTG binder.
If any of these deals interest you, they’re only available for a limited time. After October 7th, 2026, Amazon Prime Big Deal Day ends, as do all these fantastic sales.
MTG Secrets of Strixhaven Play Booster Box
Unfortunately, there aren’t much in the way of sales for actual MTG cards for Amazon Prime Big Deal Day. Most of the discounts available for cards have nothing to do with the core sale, or have cheaper alternatives at other sites. That said, the current slight discount on Secrets of Strixhaven Play Booster boxes might actually be worth it for those interested.
Offering 30 packs, Secrets of Strixhaven has a surprising number of bangers in it. With tons of Commander super staples like
