Just when you thought it was safe to get off the hype train, Magic: The Gathering delivers yet another piece of news. With Spider-Man preview season just a few days away, most assumed we’d have a quiet week on the run-up. Turns out this isn’t the case, however, as some early product leaks for next year’s Lorwyn Eclipsed have just landed in our laps.
These leaks come via distributor listings for the new set, so they’re more than likely legit. They also confirm the existence of a range of products for the set, one of which is brand-new to Magic. January 23rd 2026 is a long way off, but if these early glimpses are anything to go by Lorwyn Eclipsed will be well worth the wait.
New ‘Draft Night’ Product Coming With Lorwyn Eclipsed
The Lorwyn Eclipsed product leaks we’ll be looking at today came via Copernicus1981, who shared the information in a post on r/magicTCG. They shared a full product lineup for the set, complete with pricing. Listings on GTS Distribution back up their claims, so it’s pretty safe to assume that this information is genuine. As with all leaks, however, it’s best not to assume anything until official confirmation arrives.
The standout from the leaks is a brand-new product called Draft Night. According to Copernicus1981’s post, this is a product that contains 12 Play Boosters, one Collector Booster, and 90, presumably basic, lands. The intention here is clearly for players to be able to host their own Draft at home using this product alone. The 12 Play Boosters are for drafting with, and the Collector Booster is a prize for the winner.
Right out of the gate, 12 packs seems low for Draft. Typically Draft needs three packs per player, which equates to 24 packs in a regular eight-player pod. As many pointed out in the comments on Copernicus1981’s post, however, this product is likely designed with the new ‘Pick Two’ Draft format in mind. This is a speedier Draft with just four players, so 12 packs would cover one of those easily.
This product is allegedly priced at $90, which makes a lot of sense. Play Boosters for the set are $5.50 according to the leaks, and Collectors are $27. Altogether, then, the Draft Kit represents $93 worth of value. You’re not saving much by buying one, but the convenience and extra lands will definitely help smooth out the Draft experience.
More From The Lorwyn Eclipsed Product Leaks
Draft Night isn’t the only interesting thing covered in the Lorwyn Eclipsed product leaks. We also got confirmation on Commander decks and, even more excitingly, unspecified “Preconstructed Decks.”
Commander decks for the set aren’t hugely surprising, but we haven’t seen them for every set recently, so it’s nice to know they’re locked in here. Apparently we’re getting two new decks Commander here, both priced at $50. Only two decks means we won’t be getting one for each Lorwyn creature type, so Wizards may opt for different themes. Maybe one deck will lean more into the Lorwyn side of the plane, while the other does so for Shadowmoor.
Preconstructed Decks are more interesting. We’re apparently getting two of these as well, they’ll be full 60-cards lists, and they’ll be priced at $24 each. It’s unclear at present which format these decks will be for, but given the price tag, Standard seems most likely. These are actually cheaper than the Standard Challenger decks from 2022, so it’s possible that these are the same idea minus the sideboards. Alternatively, these could be part of a move by Wizards to resurrect Pioneer in 2026.
In any case, these are the headlines from the leaks. The rest of the Lorwyn product lineup is pretty standard. It consists of Play Boosters, Collector Boosters, a Bundle, and Pre-Release packs. Play Boosters retain their current price, while Bundles and Collector Boosters are up slightly. This is worrying, but not the end of the world, either.
If these leaks are accurate, then they’re quite reassuring. They show that Wizards is developing products that focus on non-Commander formats, which is great news for the long-term health of the game. It will become important, however, to keep an eye on small price increases to products. If they are consecutive, things may start to add up before we know it.
