The final 2 cards from Secret Lair: Black is Magic revealed!
Wizards of the Coast has officially revealed the final two limited-edition Magic: The Gathering cards from the upcoming Secret Lair: Black is Magic drop, the brand new print-on-demand product Wizards announced earlier this month to celebrate Black History Month. The new Secret Lair drop will contain seven unique alternate-art cards.
The other five have already been revealed in the past few weeks, and now the publisher has revealed the final two borderless alternate-art cards from the Secret Lair: Black is Magic today: Sol Ring illustrated by Thomas Zenteno, and Path of Ancestry by Julio Reyna.

Sol Ring
Its flavor text reads:
“Every bead tells a story. They speak of the obstacles we overcome. They speak of the communities we build, the milk we offer our friends, and the land that feeds our people. We weave meaning, tradition, and strength into everything.”
“When concepting this card, I was inspired by the jewelry from the Maasai tribe,” Secret Lair: Black is Magic creative lead Sydney Adams said. “I remembered seeing one of their gorgeous necklaces in a documentary, and as I did my research, I learned more about the Maasai Wilderness Conservation trust and some of the struggles they currently face.”
Path of Ancestry
For this card, Adams said that she wants to pay homage to one of the ancestors of Magic‘s Black history, Jolrael, Empress of Beasts.
Overall, this looks like a great collection of limited-edition cards that feature fantastic art showcasing the diversity of Magic: The Gathering characters.
